Our Story

Two New Canadians Building Tomorrow's Builders

How BrickAndMotorLabs Came to Be

We're a husband-and-wife team. We came to Canada to start a new life, and now we're proud citizens running a small family business.

I build software for a living. My wife works in bioinformatics. So we've spent our careers deep in code, data, and logic. But the thing that really gets us is watching a kid's face light up when an engineering idea finally clicks.

That's how we found Blix. Blix is a range of hands-on STEM robotics kits designed and engineered in India. Parents and teachers there have trusted them for years, and kids use them in classrooms and at home. Real gears, motors, circuits, levers, and remote-controlled builds that kids put together with their own hands. No screens required.

When we looked at what was on the market in Canada, we noticed something missing. A lot of "STEM" toys lean heavy on screens, or they're too simple to teach anything real. The kits we loved just weren't available here. So we got in touch with the makers, and together with a friend we signed an agreement to bring Blix kits to Canada.

That agreement became BrickAndMotorLabs. We're a Canadian company with one simple goal: put a kit in the hands of every curious kid in Canada that teaches real engineering.

Our Mission

Turn Curiosity Into Creation

We believe every child who asks "how does this work?" deserves a kit that actually shows them.

BrickAndMotorLabs exists to turn curiosity into creation. We bring hands-on STEM kits where real engineering and play come together. Kids don't just press buttons. They build, break, and rebuild.

Every kit makes big ideas like gears, circuits, motion, and torque feel real and exciting.

We're not a toy company that slapped "STEM" on the box. We're a husband-and-wife team bringing Canadian families kits that actually teach something.

Why BrickAndMotorLabs

What Makes Us Different

📚

Proven in Classrooms

Every kit is classroom-tested and trusted by educators before it earns a spot on our shelves.

🔧

Real Concepts

No screen-required fluff. Our kits teach actual mechanical, electrical, and robotic principles.

🚀

Every Age

From simple builds for ages 3+ to multi-model RC robots for ages 8+. There's a kit for every stage.

Meant to Be Taken Apart

The instruction manual is a starting point, not the finish line. Rebuild, remix, reimagine.
